Infineum
The Ida Freund Building provides Infineum UK with a cutting-edge research facility at the centre of their UK Campus In Oxfordshire. In a key growth industry, the project supports and sustains the innovative, world-leading work Infineum undertake in developing sustainable fuels for the future.
A key driver for the project was the ambition to change the culture of the campus, to inspire the occupants and generate a new collaborative way of working; for the interior design and architecture to become a catalyst for the cross-fertilisation of ideas to drive genuine innovation and successful growth for the business.
In addition to the range of specialist laboratory and workspaces that were provided, the headquarter building includes a new café, restaurant, conference facilities and range of flexible collaboration areas. From health and wellbeing through to the need to attract and retain staff in a highly competitive industry, the working environment on offer was a crucial aspect of the brief. The careful orchestration of these spaces alongside a clever and stylish fit-out drew the scheme together to encourage a culture of community with cross pollination of ideas and departments in line with the Infineum’s aspirations.
Infineum’s CEO, Trevor Russell commented that “Milton Hill is our key global site for technology and innovation. I am very proud to have opened this facility with state-of-the-art laboratories and collaboration spaces. This, along with the 50 highly-qualified colleagues we have recruited, will help us continue to lead the world in developing technologies with huge environmental benefit”
