SRA Architects attend official opening of AB Dynamics’ new premises
/On the 5th October SRA were delighted to attend the opening of the new building designed for Anthony Best Dynamics and built by BAM Construction UK. HRH Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, officially opened the new premises with the unveiling of a plaque and the signing of their visitors' book.
AB Dynamics are a supplier of innovative, high quality test equipment to the global automotive industry. The technology AB Dynamics designs, develops and builds is supplied to every major automotive manufacturer worldwide. This new headquarters for the company will enable further growth beyond what has already been a very successful few years.
SRA Architects have enjoyed designing a ground-breaking new building. It will provide new space to locate high quality test equipment, test rigs and advanced driving simulators; manufacturing space; and large offices for research and development. Easy adaptability has been provided throughout the building so that it can readily accommodate the inevitable changes required by a fast-growing business.

To minimise the building’s energy consumption, high levels of insulation have been provided and the building has been designed so that much of the space enjoys natural light. Both of these features will improve everyone’s working environment.
An important aspect of AB Dynamics’ requirements was for a building that communicated the company’s strong brand values to all visitors: hence the striking engineered form, high quality and close attention to detail.
