Congratulations to our latest Architects
/Celebrations are well and truly underway for three of our latest Architects who have received their Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Practice from the University of Bath. The past few months have been pretty intense for each of them as they have juggled their studies while also leading projects for us during one of our busiest times. We are thankful for all they contribute to the SRA team, and are delighted that they now have full ARB recognition for their hard work and expertise.
Here’s a little bit about each of our newly qualified Architects and why they enjoy working in Architecture.
Adam Adamopoulos grew up in Greece and offers a different perspective to SRA having gained experience working on a range of projects both in the EU and the UK. He joined the Practice in April last year, and is a key team member in the design and construction of IKEA retail stores in the UK as well as acting as Project Leader on other retail schemes and working on various residential developments. He says:
Ana Contreras studied in Madrid and as part of her course spent a year on a scholarship programme in Rome. This experience made her realise that she wanted to extend her experience abroad so she left sunny Spain to work in the UK. Ana joined SRA in 2015, combining her passion for regeneration with sustainable ideas and more interior architecture. She says:
Chris Jones champions painting, drawing and film-making at SRA, challenging the increase in computer-aided representation. Having worked at the Practice since June last year, he enjoys working on a range of office and business park development projects including the latest office and research facility for the Royal Agricultural University, which is now making exciting progress on site.
